Cernauti residence of Romania’s general consul robbed

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) was informed Saturday that the residence of the general consul of Romania in Cernauti was robbed and Ukrainian authorities are investigating the case.


According to the Foreign Ministry, the thieves broke into the residence and stole some of the diplomat’s personal items.


MAE gave no other detail about the incident, as the probe opened by Ukrainian authorities is under way.
