Gymnastics: Marian Dragulescu wins Bumbo Gymnastics Cup

Romanian gymnast Marian Dragulescu has won the floor and high bar events at the Bumbo Gymnastics Cup international competition that took place within Tshwane’s Matsport Centre in South Africa. Dragulescu won the floor event with 15.40 points, Belarus’s Pavel Bulavski being second with 14.30 points. Dragulescu won the high bar event with 14.30 points, Britain’s Luke Folwell being second with 14 points and Hungary’s Zoltan Kallai being third with 14 points. Luke Folwell won 5 medals at the 2010 edition of the Commonwealth Games. Dragulescu finished the pummel horse event on 6th place with 11.45 points. Hungary’s Kallai won that event with 15.70 points. Romanian junior gymnast Daniel Radeanu won the boys’ floor event (14.55 pts) and the vault event (15.67 pts), finished the high bar event on second place (13.50 pts), the pummel horse event on third place (13.75 pts) and the still rings event on fourth place (12.25 pts).
Romanian junior gymnast Irina Alexandra Paun (12) finished the girls’ balance beam event on third place (13.90 pts), the floor event on fifth place (12.65 pts), the uneven bars event on seventh place (10.575 pts) and the vault event on eight place (12.338 pts).
Bumbo Gymnastics Cup is meant to contribute to the overall development of gymnastics in South Africa.
