Isarescu prefers RON savings

In early November, National Bank of Romania (BNR) Governor Mugur Isarescu had about 82,234 RON in two savings accounts, up nearly 63,000 USD from the amount in his wealth statement last June, Realitatea.net reports. The governor has chosen to make RON savings lately. His euro savings accounts contain EUR 9,000 less than last June, to EUR 55, 240. Isarescu continues to keep a portion of his savings in US dollars, nearly 12,000 USD to be more accurate, down over 2,800 USD from June.
