Former Romanian international Marian Aldea and his wife have died in a car crash on Sunday evening, the Romanian Rugby Federation (FRR) informed, being quoted by Agerpres. FRR conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family. The car driven by Aldea, a former Dinamo player, frontally collided with a lorry. The two were returning home to Cotorca, Ialomita County. Marian Aldea (58) was one of Romania’s great rugby players and took part in several important international games, the most significant of which was the 1980 game that Romania won against France, score 15-0.
