PCC rejects Oltchim management accusations

PCC rebuts the recent accusations brought by Oltchim Ramnicu-Valcea General Manager Constantin Roibu on grounds of being false and damaging the name and image of the German-Polish joint venture in its capacity as minority shareholder in the state-held chemical plant, reason for which it sued the Ramnicu Valcea-based company in court. according to a press release, “from May 2007 and into the present, PCC has been interested to participate in an open and transparent privatization process. Since May 2007, PCC SE has made this countless times known to officials with the Government of Romania, the State Assets Resolution Authority (AVAS), Economy Ministry, European Commission and public opinion by means of press releases and conferences.” The Oltchim minority shareholder made the point it has never sponsored press articles on corruption suspicions involving Constantin Roibu. Earlier in the week, the plant’s general manager said that PCC’s frequent attacks are aimed at discrediting him and bringing Oltchim activity to a deadlock.
