Public TV anchor killed in car accident

Patric Petre Marin, the host of the programme “Bugetul Meu”, broadcast on TVR2, was killed yesterday in a car accident which occurred on DN1. In the car were the producer of the programme, Liliana Covlea, and a cinematographer, both injured. The accident occurred in the vicinity of Saftica. Based on the preliminary investigations, a man driving a Logan on DN1, on his way to Bucharest, lost control of the vehicle and ended up on the opposing lane, where it hinged on two other vehicles, a Skoda and a Dacia Break, which were running in their own right. The Dacia Break, where the TVR team was, was hit in full. According to colleagues in the public television, Marin’s team was on its way to a shooting. Petre Marin, aged 54, made his debut as an actor at the L.S. Bulandra Theatre. He subsequently became the deputy director of the Little Theatre and was a collaborator of the public TV.
