The Supervisory Board of Austrian Airlines has appointed Thierry Antinori, 49, as Chairman of the Company’s Executive Board. The new Chairman, until now Chief Marketing Officer on the Lufthansa German Airline Board, will take up his post from April 1, 2011, according to a press release sent to Nine O’Clock. Austrian Airlines sets out to continue its rigorous cost management and further develop the Vienna hub. “The challenge now is to open up and utilize new perspectives for a leaner and more efficient Austrian Airlines,” CEO Group Airlines and Corporate Human Resources at Lufthansa AG and Chairman, outlined.
