AIPC: ANAF’s intention to access investor stock portfolios is an abuse

The Capital Market Investors Association (AIPC) deems abusive the National Agency for Fiscal Administration’s intention to directly access the stock portfolios traded on the stock exchange by debtors under compelling enforcement as transaction confidentiality would no longer be observed, Mediafax reports. Last week, ANAF had a meeting with brokerage firms and the National Securities Commission (CNVM) to discuss a procedure going to be drawn up whereby the tax authority could directly access information on stock portfolios traded on the stock exchange.
