Church receives 25 buildings from Gov’t, for free

The Government decided that 25 buildings, including the Tismana hotel complex and land amounting to a total surface of over 533,000 square metres, should be transferred, free of payment, to the Orthodox Church , Realitatea TV reports. The buildings are administered, at present, by the State Chancellery for Religious Cults, ministries or county councils. The decision was motivated by the wish to make up, in part, for the abuses of the communist regime and to assist in the social, cultural, spiritual and educational activities conducted by the Church, is stated in the document regarding the transfer of the buildings.
