Despite court opposition, Government pushes forward with plan to set up energy companies

The process of setting up the national energy companies Electra and Hidroenergetica will go on, with the observance of all court decision, although the Bucharest Tribunal rejected Electra’s registration with the Commerce Registry (RECOM), the Ministry of Economy announced, quoted by Mediafax. Nuclearelectrica will appeal in court the initial verdict, which is not final and irrevocable. The Hidrosind trade union, the ‘Proprietatea’ Fund and individual shareholders of the ‘Proprietatea’ Fund challenged in court the creation of Electra and Hidroenergetica.
