Canada Pension Plan Investment and Dutch investor Algemene Pensioen Groep agreed to pay GPB 871.5 M for a 50 pc stake in a project that represents the biggest transaction involving a shopping mall in the UK, Money.ro announces. The shopping mall is already 75 pc let, with John Lewis and Marks & Spencer being major retailers. The total investment tops GBP 1.5 bln, for a total area of 200,000 square meters of retail and entertainment space, accommodating 300 shops, two hotels, office and residential areas. The project is due for completion in the fall of 2011.
