The Transport Ministry wants to develop the ‘Henri Coanda’ Airport of Otopeni, near Bucharest, by expanding it to twice its current surface, according to the ‘Romania Libera’ newspaper. Businessman Ion Tiriac is among the important investors here. According to officials of the Tunari local administration, other investors are Gigi Becali (10 hectares) and Lebanese businessman Fathi Taher (4.5 hectares). The latter is also a shareholder in the Marriott Hotel.
