PDL MEP Cristian Preda is criticising the head of the PDL organisation of Bucharest, Elena Udrea, in an interview with Revista 22, saying that she has no credibility.
’… I have noticed that, lately, she rushes into making statements. The other day she was saying that no one could censure her ambition of becoming prime-minister or president, actually appearing to be sad that President Basescu was not prepared to encourage her grand plans. I think that she went beyond a certain limit. (…) Listening to her, I realised that Mrs. Udrea missed the class when modesty was taught. She seems to have forgotten rather fast that she could not be out there too much during the last campaign and that she wasn’t even included in the government ‘temporarily’, because of her lack of credibility. Sometimes she gives me the impression that she is on the Titanic and asking for a glass of champagne.’ About his possible exclusion from the party, Preda says: ‘No one would gain from exclusion, neither PDL nor I.’
