A member of an organized crime gang in Galati was killed, on Tuesday night, in a restaurant in the city centre, by two young members of a rival gang, Agerpres reports. Marcel Nicolau, also known as “Chiaburu”, was in a restaurant with a group of friends when he was attacked by two youngsters, Aurelian and Valeriu Stanescu, members of a rival gang. Nicolau was hit on the head with a sharp object and fell to the ground. He died in hospital shortly afterwards. The two youngsters confessed to their actions and were detained by ordinance for 24 hours for manslaughter.
