A magnitude 3.1 earthquake took place on Wednesday morning at 4:43 AM. According to the National Institute for Earth Physics, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in Vrancea and had a depth of 149 kilometers, Antena 3 informs. This was the latest in a series of 12 low-magnitude earthquakes that took place in Romania since the start of December. Two other earthquakes took place early Tuesday morning. Measuring 2.6 and 2.9 on the Richter scale, they had a depth of 110 kilometers. A magnitude 3.1 earthquake took place on the border between the Czech Republic and Slovakia at approximately the same time.
