Works by and about exceptional visual artists will be on offer in the book and visual art auction to take place on Sunday, December 19, 2010, starting 11:30 am, at the Bucharest City Museum – the Sutu Palace. The exhibition which precedes the auction will be opened on Saturday, December 18, starting 10 am.
The exhibition tempts collectors with 111 visual art books. Visual art-lovers will also have a chance to admire works by contemporary artists, including Mihai Sarbulescu, Petru Velicu, Ana Ruxandra Ilfoveanu, Constantin Blendea, Vladimir Setran, Guguianu, and others. The exhibition will also feature some of the most prestigious names in 20th century Romanian art, the likes of Alexandru Ciucurencu, Alexandu Tipoia, Marcel Iancu, Gh. Petrascu, Gh. Vanatoru, Ion Musceleanu, Jean Cheller, Leon Alex Biju, and others.
