Wizz Air passengers in Romania on the rise

Wizz Air, the largest low fare – low cost airline company in Central and Eastern Europe reported a 37.2 per cent rise in the number of passengers flown from and into Timisoara over the past 12 months, and a 33.9 per cent increase in flyer flow nationwide. During Dec. 2009 – Nov. 2010, the company flew 2,150,918 passengers out of and into Romania. “The success story in Timisoara can be measured in the number of passengers flown: If in the 12 months ended in late Nov. 2009, the company carried 266,000 passengers, during December 2009 – November 201, their number rose to 365,000. The rise is also noted in the number of bookings for Dec. 2010, up 31,000, from 26,000 in December of last year,” said Gyorgy Abran, Chief Commercial Officer Wizz Air.
