“Play Energy” winners, awarded a trip to Rome by Enel

The energy company Enel Romania offers a trip in Rome to the winners of the fourth edition of the “Play Energy” educational program, according to a press release remitted to our editing office. The winners of this year’s edition are the students of the 11th grade A at the “Mihai Viteazul” National College in Slobozia, Ialomita County, coordinated by the teacher Elena Dragomir. They were selected based on a “complex project, starting from the myth of Don Quixote’s fight with the windmills”, consisting in a website with a wide range of practical applications, including a forum, news and an interactive online game.

The project draws a parallel between the Spanish energy system and the “Gura Ialomitei Solar Park”, but it also reveals a fantastic, original world, comprising the story of the Coal Planet or the tale of the brave El Luki. It can be explored accessing the website www.greenmeanslife.com.

The winners of the first prize will attend the final gala, in Rome, which brings together the winners from all the participating countries. “The students who came in second and third were offered prizes consisting in electronic products and ecological stationery,” the release by the company further reads. About 300 schools and high schools from Bucharest, Banat and Dobrogea competed in this year’s edition of the “Play Energy” contest, with 342 projects.
