The friends and colleagues of the great soprano Angela Gheorghiu will join her in a gala concert to take place in the Grand Hall of the “I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre, on December 30, a release by the institution informs. According to the aforementioned source, the concert is meant to mark the bestowing of the “Star of Romania” Order, in the rank of Commander, “in recognition of the exceptional talent displayed on the great stages of the world” by the celebrated soprano.
The event is graced with the exceptional participation of the pianist Dan Grigore, prestigious actors Victor Rebengiuc, Maia Morgenstern, Horatiu Malaiele, Claudiu Bleont and Medeea Marinescu, and lyrical artists Ozana Barabancea, Teodor Ilincai, Bianca Ionescu, Cristina Iordachescu, Irina Iordachescu, Iulia Isaev, Mihnea Lamatic, Marius Manea, Mioara Manea, Vlad Mirita, Gladiola Nitulescu and Daniela Vladescu.
They will be accompanied by the Bucharest Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Tiberiu Soare, in a performance directed and hosted by the actor Ion Caramitru, the general director of the Bucharest National Theatre.
