Bogdan Aurescu-Patrick Auroy meeting

The state secretary of the Romanian Foreign Ministry, Bogdan Aurescu, met, yesterday, NATO’s Deputy Secretary General for defence investments, Patrick Auroy, who is on an official visit to Romania. The two officials discussed the NATO summit which took place, in November, in Lisbon, the new Strategic Concept of the Alliance, the development of an allied anti-missile capacity, as well as the process of reforming NATO’s leadership structure and agencies. The two sides highlighted, also, the importance of adapting NATO capabilities and structures, allowing the Alliance to meet, effectively, both its traditional missions, as well as the new challenges hinted at in the Alliance’s Strategic Concept, adopted, recently, in Lisbon, by the heads of state and Cabinet leaders of the NATO member states.
