The actual payments made for enhancing energy efficiency and security of supply as part of the “Increase of Economic Competitiveness” Sectoral Operational Programme total RON 19 M, out of a total budget of EUR 725 M earmarked for 2007-2013, Cristian Georgescu, public manager at the Intermediary Body for Energy within the Ministry of Economy, stated yesterday during a press conference, Agerpres informs.
Green energy projects totalling RON 51 M have been approved and are about to be paid too. 27 energy efficiency projects have been filed in 2010, with an overall RON 400 M being earmarked for them. Funds of RON 253 M have been asked and two projects worth RON 36 M have been approved. 25 projects are currently analyzed. 420 renewable resources projects have been filed in 2010, with RON 8.3 bln being asked for. The initial budget of RON 420 M has been supplemented by RON 800 M. The projects are currently analyzed.
Five project-filing operations will be launched in 2011. Project-filing operations for energy efficiency (total allocated budget of EUR 58 M) and for transport (total allocated budget of EUR 57 M) will be launched in Q1. The project-filing operation for investments in large power plants has been extended from December 2010 to December 2011. A new project-filing operation for renewable resources will be launched in Q2 of 2011, its estimated budget standing at EUR 100 M, while a similar operation for interlinks will be launched in Q1 of 2011.
