Victory for Hagi, goal for Niculae

Gica Hagi has had a respite at the helm of Galatasaray Istanbul. His team managed to win its away-game against Konyaspor, score 1-0, after the Turkish press had already started to talk about various head coach replacements, including Mircea Lucescu. The result pushed Galatasaray on 9th place, still far from the ranks that offer a place in the European cups. Good news from France too, where Romania’s Daniel Niculae scored again for AS Monaco. Niculae thus ended a dry streak that started in leg 5. Rapid’s former player scored the goal that gave AS Monaco an important tie against PSG, score 2-2.
