First 3D Café opens at Patria Cinema

The first 3D café cinema in Romania will be inaugurated in Bucharest, at the Patria Cinema, on Magheru Boulevard. Caffe Cinema 3D, the select 50 seats’ lounge, complete with air conditioning, a bar, sofas and 3D equipment, will be open for business as of December 22, 2010. The Caffe Cinema 3D concept is a trademark of RADEF Romania Film and will be implemented in at least another 20 cinemas in Romania, in the course of 2011. The Caffe Cinema 3D halls will host, also, prestigious artistic events, film premieres, press conferences, stand-up comedy shows, etc. The Caffe Cinema 3D motto is: “As comfortable as in your own living-room!”. The first film on offer at Caffe Cinema 3D is “A Christmas Carol 3D”, starring Jim Carrey. An adaptation of Charles Dickens’s story of the same title, the film tells the tale of Scrooge, a misanthrope businessman who keenly opposes anyone who asks him for money, the more so at Christmas. One Christmas Eve, however, three ghosts – the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come – force him to confront the irreparable mistakes which alienated him from his acquaintances and relatives and the fate that awaits him unless he turns over a new leaf.
