MAE opens consular office in Edinburgh

The Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE) opened a consular office in Edinburgh, placed under the authority of the Consular Department of the Romanian Embassy to the United Kingdom and meant to manage consular activity in the relation between Romanian citizens and local authorities in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England. The consular office is open as of December 20. The Romanian consular office in Edinburgh will not issue Romanian visas to foreign citizens who wish to travel to Romania and need a visa, as the only authority entitled to issue visas on British soil is the Consular Department of the Romanian Embassy in London.
