3 pc taxation of SMEs on govt. agenda

Government is due to meet in session today to pass the Fiscal Code amendments on aligning excises with EU relevant directives, Mediafax quoted Fin Min Gheorghe Ialomitianu as saying. He sees the reintroduction of the 3 per cent tax on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) as likely. “The Ministry of Finance is examining the likelihood for this tax to be levied starting Jan.1. On Thursday, we will pass the Fiscal Code amendments on aligning excises with related EU directives and Thursday’s government agenda includes changes in the Fiscal Code,” Ialomitianu said.
