PM calls for transparency in public works procedures

The minister of Regional Development, Elena Udrea, the minister of Transports, Anca Boagiu, and the Education Minister, Daniel Funeriu, were summoned, on Monday, at the Victoria Palace, by prime-minister Emil Boc, for work meetings, on the first work day of 2011. The prime-minister and the three ministers analyzed the Government’s investment priorities for 2011, with an attention to the building of roads and highways, nurseries and kindergartens. On this occasion, the head of the Cabinet stressed the fact that public works have to meet transparency criteria applicable to contracts with the state, the state counsellor Andreea Paul-Vass stated, quoted by Agerpress. “The premier pleaded for total transparency and full legality in running public investment contracts,” the counsellor stated.
