Tax authority collected 5.6 pc more money in 2010 than in 2009

The budget revenue collected by ANAF in 2010 amounted to RON 141.28 bln, the sum being higher by 5.6 per cent than in 2009, with the rise being the result of stepped up judicial execution, fiscal checks and inspection activities, Mediafax informs. According to ANAF, in 2009 the state collected RON 133.7 bln. In December, the tax authority collected revenue of RON 13.5 bln, more by 25.64 per cent than in the similar period of 2009. The value-added tax had an important contribution – almost RON 4 bln – to the total. ANAF does not disclose the December revenue from corporate profit tax and income tax, the only figures available being the percentage and nominal changes compared to the previous period and compared to the schedule.
