Romania to sell Transelectrica, Transgaz and Romgaz shares on the stock exchange

During June-December this year, the Ministry of Economy will sell on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) stakes representing 15 pc of the capital of Transelectrica (TEL), Transgaz (TGN) and Romgaz companies, three of the most important energy companies controlled by the institution, Mediafax reports. The new shares of electricity transport operator Transelectrica and natural gas transport operator Transgaz Medias will become available in June and September, respectively. The two companies are already listed on BVB, with 11.5 pc and 12.81 pc of their capital, respectively. The third company, Romgaz Medias, will be floated in December. The ministry will also sell on BVB a stake of 9.84 pc in oil and gas producer OMV Petrom (SNP).
