Several rocks collapsed yesterday morning from the mountain side in the Siriu dam area, Buzau County, blocking National Road 10 at kilometre 84.5. Traffic was blocked on both lanes, being detoured on the Cislau – Valenii de Munte route. Pyrotechnical experts will blow the 13 large rocks to pieces in order to clear the road. “The reconnaissance team has identified 13 large boulders totalling over 500 cubic meters – the largest one having over 120 cubic meters and a height of 8 meters, each of the others having an average size of 12 cubic meters,” the Buzau County Emergency Situations Inspectorate’s commander stated.
