Pati Yang & Tanz Ohne Musik gig in Control

Poland- born singer Pati Yang will perform on January 21 in a Control Club gig, as part of a project developed by ArtVault and Polish Institute, entitled New.pl.

The singer, also performing as Patrycja Hilton will bring to Bucharest her latest music project “Faith, Hope and Fury.”

She is one of Poland’s most acclaimed electronic artists pushing the boundaries of trip hop in her country. Her debut album, released at the tender age of 18 was entitled “Jaszczurka (The Lizard, 1998)” and was probably the first Polish trip-hop record released by a giant music company. Since then, the musician has made a trademark out of her unique siren- like voice and joy of experimenting both music and the performing arts. In 2001 she moved to London and married the musician Stephen Hilton; they formed a music project called Children. In 2006 she released her second album “Silent Treatment” recorded in famous London Air Studio. She also supported Depeche Mode during their concert in Warsaw. The Romanian electronic band Tanz Ohne Musik will perform as opening act, featuring The Pixels front man Dan Serbanescu. The performance in Control Club begins at 9 pm and tickets cost RON 20. The project New.pl is meant to mark 20 years since the creation of the Polish Institute in Bucharest and throughout April, it will mean bringing more Polish musicians and artists in the Capital. Other scheduled performances in the same location will be Kino Oko on February 24, Dagadana on March 24 and Loco Star on April 16. All tickets cost RON 20 and after each of the concerts, the public will be able to purchase a limited number of tickets for the upcoming performance at a discount price.
