Former MAI state secretary Dan Fatuloiu admitted to Floreasca Hospital

The inspector Dan Valentin Fatuloiu, the former state secretary in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), was interned, on Wednesday morning, at the Floreasca Hospital, in the plastic surgery ward. The representatives of the Floreasca Hospital stated that Fatuloiu’s condition was not serious. Dan Valentin Fatuloiu was to offer a new position at MAI, in keeping with his rank, at the end of November 2010, when he was replaced from the office of state secretary by Ioan Dascalu. The Interior Minister, Traian Igas stated, on November 23, 2010, in a press conference, that the prime-minister Emil Boc had approved the proposals to replace from office Petre Toba, the former chief of the Romanian Police (IGPR), and Dan Valentin Fatuloiu, former state secretary in MAI. On the same occasion, Boc approved the appointment of Liviu Popa at the helm of IGPR and of Ioan Dascalu as state secretary, Igas added, at the time.
