PSD leader Ponta on Italy visit

This week-end Social Democrat Party President Victor Ponta will hold meetings in Rome with the representatives of Romanians in Italy and will take part in the conference of Parliamentary leaders, a conference organized by the Italian Democratic Party, a PSD communiqué quoted by Agerpres informs. During his visit the Social-Democrat leader will also meet the Orthodox Romanians’ bishop in Italy and will visit the ‘Pio Romeno’ Pontifical College, the college that trains future Romanian Greco-Catholic priests.
Ponta will also take part in a conference attended by left-wing leaders of Parliament, a conference that will focus on the strategies to combat populism and on the promotion of a progressive government. The conference will reunite representatives of left-wing parties from Europe, America, South Africa, Australia and India.
