Three more rotavirus infection cases at Slobozia hospital

Three more babies, three, five and six-month-old respectively, got rotavirus infections while in the Slobozia hospital. Two of them have been sent to Bucharest and a third, who is reported in a more serious condition will be sent to the capital city as soon as his condition stabilizes, according to Realitatea.net. Two of the three babies who returned to hospital Wednesday having been discharged on Monday, were diagnosed with rotavirus infection and sent to Bucharest for further treatment. The third baby, who is but three months old, was admitted to hospital Monday. His conditioned worsened, with doctors now struggling to stabilize him enough to send him to Bucharest’s “Matei Bals” Institute. The rotavirus infection tally at the Slobozia hospital rose to 14. On Monday, another four children were sent to Bucha­rest, having gotten rotavirus infections while in the Slobozia hospital.
