New overpass to be built in Bucharest: Mihai Bravu- Splaiul Unirii

Bucharest City Hall starts, today, works on the Mihai Bravu – Splaiul Unirii overpass, so that traffic will be restricted on the Mihai Bravu Boulevard, between Splaiul Unirii and Tineretului Boulevard. The pass will start from Mihai Bravu Blvd., at the juncture with Vantului (the Mihai Bravu metro station), will cross Splaiul Unirii and the Vacaresti-Mihai Bravu juncture, stopping at the Vacaresti Street. The pass, 700 metre-long, will have four lanes, and works should be completed in a year. City Hall representatives argue this pass will solve the problem of traffic crossing Splaiul Unirii, at the juncture point with Mihai Bravu. To complete works, as of Sunday night, traffic was restricted on the Mihai Bravu Blvd., between Splaiul Unirii and Tineretului Blvd., for an estimated six months.
