Dacia MPV to be launched next year

Dacia will launch, next year, a compact MPV which will combine features of the Duster and of the MCV, according to HotNews.ro. The model will be made in Morocco and prices are estimated to start at EUR 13,000, the French magazine L’Argus Automobile reports. The vehicle will measure 4.5 metres in length, in a modular design similar to the MCV break, and will also come, apparently, in utility vehicle-format, with sliding doors.

According to “Argus Auto”, the price of the Dacia MPV will range between EUR 13,000, for the petrol-running model, and RON 15,000, for the diesel version, that is, approximately EUR 2,000 more than the MCV break, with seven seats. As regards the cylinder, the MPV will borrow features from the Duster, while offering a modular design similar to the MCV break, where seats are reclining. A version with three rows of seats will also be on offer, and, when the second and third row are reclining, the storage space will amount to over 2,300 litres. Compared to the MCV model, the MPV will be longer, higher and will provide more room on the inside, but at a 15 per cent higher price. The MPV will offer a Scenic size at a Modus price, and will come, at the same time, in utility vehicle form, with sliding doors on the sides and asymmetric doors at the back, in MCV style. The publication further reports that the future generation Renault Kangoo may be sold under the Dacia label on some markets, but the information should be taken with a grain of salt.
