League I: Wesley extends contract with FC Vaslui

Brazil’s Wesley Lopes has accepted FC Vaslui’s offer to extend his contract for three seasons, being of the opinion that the club owned by Adrian Porumboiu has come up with the best offer from among all teams that showed interest in contracting his services this winter, teams that included Steaua Bucharest and CFR Cluj. “I am very happy. I’ll train very well because a tough second half of the season is up next. Signing the extension of contract is a good thing for me and for FC Vaslui. It’s not about the money because my life and my home are here in Vaslui. I had talks with Steaua Bucharest and CFR Cluj but FC Vaslui came up with the best offer,” Wesley said. FC Vaslui head coach Viorel Hizo was satisfied with the fact that Wesley extended his contract. “I hope it will give him peace of mind and moral support in order to help us attain our goal to win the title. It’s a gain for FC Vaslui. If he had stayed only with the six months of contract he still had he wouldn’t have had the peace of mind and the morale needed in order to play.”
