Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu gets Cinema Eye Honours nod

The documentary has won the Spotlight award in the most important non- fiction film award ceremony at New York’s Museum of Moving Image, according to Hotnews. Spotlight is a section of the coveted awards dedicated to films that should receive more promotion in the US. Established in 2007, Cinema Eye Honours awards innovation in non- fiction and the jury is made of 25 of the most important world festival directors, from Sundance, to Tribeca and Silver Docs. The main award was handed to the documentary “Exit Through the Gift Shop”.

Andrei Ujica’s Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu uses unseen before footage, combined with several interviews looking at the life of the infamous Romanian dictator.
