As of Tuesday, firms and companies wishing to find or choose out of potential employees can use an information portal based on which they can identify the training level and the skills which university graduates have acquired, “Gandul” reports. Using a simple application, which can be accessed on www.rncis.ro, anyone can look up and identify all the accredited study programmes offered by Romanian universities, both for graduate and post-graduate level. Officially, the database makes up the National Record of Higher Education Qualifications, and the project was completed after the universities fed the necessary data into the application. “This is the Facebook of higher education,” the director general of the National Council for Adult Qualification and Professional Training (CNCFPA), Sorin Zaharia, adding that the effects of the project would start to show in maximum five years’ time.
