Child support allocation conditioned on school behaviour

The payment of the child support allocation will be ceased until the end of the school year, if the child’s average mark for school behaviour is under 8, and the minimum guaranteed income will be ensured only based on an activity plan for the beneficiaries, the Government decided in its Wednesday meeting. The decisions were made while debating the norms for the application of the social benefit law. “I proposed and it was agreed that children should be encouraged to actively take part in the education process”, Labour Minister, Ioan Botis, stated. At the same time, the minimum guaranteed income will be granted only to people who do community work, on a monthly basis, and all the mayor’s offices are under the obligation to draft a community development plan. At the same time, the regulation which stipulated that people collecting this benefit were under the obligation to come every three months to the county employment agencies was modified. Under the new legislation, these people will have to attend the agency’s programs on a monthly basis.
