Madalina Manole suicide case has been closed

Prosecutors with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Bucharest tribunal dropped the late pop singer Madalina Manole murder inquiry, yet continue investigations surrounding Cristian Urziceanu, the alleged seller of the toxic substance Furadan, which the singer took in order to put an end to her life, Mediafax reports.

According to the Ilfov County Coroner’s examination, Magdalena Anca Mircea – best known by her stage name Madalina Manole – died a violent death. “It was due to acute cardio-respiratory failure following carbofuran intoxication. The toxic substance has been ingested. The coroner’s examination revealed a traumatic lesion most likely caused by the victim falling onto a hard surface while losing conscience prior to her death, and which would have required, had the victim survived the suicide attempt, eight to nine days of medical care,” prosecutors stated in a media release, quoting from the content of the post mortem examination report.
