Siemens to deliver two locomotives to Cargo Trans Vagon, for EUR 5 M

Siemens will deliver two diesel electrical locomotives to the rail freight operator Cargo Trans Vagon, based on a contract of approximately EUR 5 M, Siemens Romania announced, yesterday, in a press release. The locomotives are part of the EuroRunner family and some of the advantages they offer include lower fuel consumption and better power than locomotives on offer on the Romanian market. The contract also includes maintenance services, to be performed together with a local partner. The delivery is scheduled for April and the locomotives, already licensed by the Romanian Railway Authority, will be fitted with additional options for Romania. The locomotives are to be used in freight transport.
