Isarescu and Ponta, preferred as prime-ministers

An opinion poll conducted by CSCI in January gives Mugur Isarescu and Victor Ponta as the personalities preferred by Romanians for the position of prime minister. The acting BNR governor enjoys the support of 36 pc of Romanians, 32 pc of subjects gave Ponta as their premier of choice, 12 pc are seeing Klaus Johannis as the best variant, while 10 pc would rather go for someone else. The same order of candidates exists if citizens explicitly choose between the two possible candidates, with Mugur Isarescu preferred to Victor Ponta (57 pc to 41 pc), and Ponta outscoring Klaus Johannis (61 pc to 37 pc). The poll was conducted during January 19-22, at the request of Realitatea TV, on 1,097 subjects, with an error margin of +/-2.9 pc.
