The coalition supports the idea of electing mayors in one ballot

The members of the ruling coalition agreed to support modifying the law of local elections so that mayors are chosen in single-round elections, Culture Minister Kelemen Hunor said Monday. According to the official, the members of the ruling coalition have not decided yet whether the electoral law will be modified through the draft law that has been already submitted to the government, or through a different law to be drafted by the government.
