Nineteen people were invited to the DIICOT Valcea offices for hearings in the case of the Internet frauds with total damages amounting to EUR 100,000. Romanian Police reports that APBs have been issued for five suspects. Yesterday morning, the Police performed 28 searches in the Counties of Valcea, Olt and Sibiu seeking to dismember a criminal group specialising in fraud on the Internet. The authorities confiscated 21 laptops, 53 mobile phones, two central units, 13 hard drives and five modems in the operation. Most of the central computer units and laptops were connected to the Internet, some of the owners being caught as they were performing illegal activities.
