Families of Tuzla air crash victims sue MoD

The families of three of the 12 soldiers who lost their lives in the air crash that took place at the Tuzla airdrome in early July want to seek justice in court. The families will sue the MoD, claiming that its leadership is responsible for the soldiers’ deaths. The soldiers’ parents believe that the Army is responsible for their deaths and claim that the MoD’s representatives refuse to tell the truth about what happened on July 5. MoD representatives however offer assurances that the truth will be made public when the investigation is over. Their assurances fail to convince the bereaved parents. The latter are determined to seek justice even if that will mean going to the European Court for Human Rights. MoD officials have told the bereaved families that the institution is not to blame. The investigation has revealed that the AN-2 plan crashed because of a technical malfunction.
