Magyar Union asks for protocol with ruling coalition

UDMR’s representatives are extremely dissatisfied with the fact that PDL is doing nothing to adopt the law on the minorities’ statute; because of this the Magyars want the ruling coalition parties to sign a protocol that would include clear deadlines for the goals assumed. “We have to admit that no steps have been taken since last year, at least in what concerns the minorities’ law, so we are dissatisfied. We are talking about the priorities that are ahead of us in the following period prior to the elections – the minorities’ law and the development regions’ law. We will set clear deadlines. This will have to be done by the end of February at the latest in my opinion,” UDMR Executive Vice President Laszlo Borbely said.
