‘Banca Romaneasca’ bank continues to credit the individuals who ish to buy a house through the ‘First House 3’ programme. According to a press release, the ceiling set for the bank, in this stage, by the National Guarantee Fund for SME Crediting is of EUR 21 M, out of a total EUR 200 M – the value of guarantees provided to the whole banking system. “(…) Due to a competitive offer, in terms of costs, we were able to reach a 10 pc market share in this programme, which we want to consolidate in the coming period,” said Lakis Couninis, Executive Director, Retail Unit, Banca Romaneasca. This year so far, over 2,600 people chose a housing credit provided by Banca Romaneasca, through the ‘First House’ programme. In 2010, Banca Romaneasca had a ceiling of EUR 70 M, with more than 1,600 extended loans. The average value of a credit taken from the bank exceeded EUR 40,000, with most customers preferring two-room apartments in old buildings.
