Romania’s Andreea Chitu (57-kg category) has won bronze at the Judo World Cup in Sofia. In Group B, Chitu defeated Italy’s Sharone Dinasta and Bulgaria’s Gergana Vatsova but was then defeated by Russia’s Ekaterina Melnikova thus reaching the playoffs. There Andreea Chitu defeated France’s Lola Benarroche and Caroline Lantioine. Romania’s Andreea Catuna won her first fight against Ukraine’s Lyudmyla Afendikova but then lost to Turkey’s Aynur Samat.
