Social and PM Boc hold Labour Code meeting today

Trade unions and some of the employers’ associations are due to meet with Premier Emil Boc today over changes in the Labour Code, with collective work contracts and collective layoffs the most touchy issues to be approached. “We hope to finalize the discussions over the issues to be discussed with the social partners and to see Government’s arguments on those articles they would not accept from among our proposals,” Cartel Alfa President Bogdan Hossu said, who reminded that the proposals forwarded by unions and some of the employers’ associations on Labour Code amendments are in line with the provisions of the International Labour Organization and in the spirit of its technical memorandum.
