Fortune tellers who fail predictions may go to prison

A draft law stipulating the sanctioning of the witches who fail to make correct predictions is being discussed by the Chamber of Deputies Budget and Finance Commission. Therefore, the witches who make failed predictions are liable for fines and to go to jail for three to six months. The bill has gone through the Senate, will receive a recommendation from the Budget and Finance Commission and then be up for vote by the Chamber of Deputies, the decision making House of Romania’s Parliament. If the bill goes through Parliament, witches shall receive a practice authorization and register with a professional organization. They shall also issue VAT receipts and avoid locating their offices in the vicinity of schools, churches or public institutions.
